Bahrain Scholars: The regime is responsible for the deterioration of Ayatollah Qassim’s health

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
“And We wished to do a favor to those who were weak (and oppressed) in the land, and to make them rulers and to make them the inheritors” (al-Qasas: 5)
The will of God Almighty has ruled to raise the status of His persecuted believers, to make them imams and inheritors in spite of the oppressive and unjust people, and God’s judgment cannot be changed.

We are seeing with our own eyes how God has strengthened Sheikh Qassim and our people despite the whole machinery of repression and terrorism aimed at humiliating him and making him collapse. God wills that believers come out after each test holding their heads high, while the oppressor comes out humiliated, disappointed and defeated.

The most recent of these tests is the faithful steadfastness against the siege that was imposed on our leader Sheikh Qassim and on the resistant Duraz area. That steadfastness added to the history of Bahrain the brightest pages of glory, sincerity and sacrifice for religion, belief and the homeland. The unjust siege only resulted in shame and disgrace to those who wanted to harm the religion and the country. The siege has failed, while the will of the people of Duraz and of Bahrain has not shaken, and there was not an atom of influence on the will of the divine Sheikh Qassim (may God keep him strong).

Here, we would like to mention a few things:
First, the regime is responsible for the deterioration of the health condition of the leader of the people, Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Ahmad Qassim, as his condition reached very dangerous stages. The systematic targeting of him was carried out in an open manner that had only one explanation that everyone understood, slow killing.

Second, we pay tribute to the steadfastness of the Duraz people who actually proved that the siege, pressure and all types of torture for the sake of religion and faith are sweeter than honey, even if they lasted for years; they also proved that all the pain and exhaustion are really in the separation from the divine faqih, even for a day.

Third, lifting the unjust siege and allowing the performance of Friday prayer is not a favor that someone can take credit for. Rather, it is a fixed right that those who steal it are condemned and are held accountable for the great crime they commit.

Fourth, we call for dedicating this week to intensify prayers and to pay alms to the poor for the healing of our leader and imam, both inside and outside Bahrain, especially in the squares of the holy shrines of the Imams, peace be upon them, in a collective and massive way.

O Allah, we ask you, for the sake of our Prophet Muhammad and his pure family, to bring back our beloved leader healthy and safe, and to relief our people very soon.
