سAyatollah Qassem addressing Bahrain’s opposition: Your fragmentation, at the level of interests and leadership competition, is a reason to remain at the bottom of humiliation, for which you will regret

Ayatollah Qassem’s Full Statement:

Any opposition or nation, which divide at the sectarian, political, regional, or any other level, would empower the government to persecute, marginalise, impoverish and humiliate them, deeply and widely. They commit a fatal stupidity that robs them of dignity, independence, and any chance to get rid of their bitter status quo.

Indeed, Bahrain is experiencing such persecution, marginalisation and tragedy, whereby citizens are currently subjected to the Zionist enemy’s hegemony. As the division continues, everyone will regret, and the distress will heighten, on the day that regret will no longer work. In light of the ongoing division, the bitter status quo will become more tragic; evil will prevail; and the solution outlets will be shut.

The fragmentation of the people and the opposition, at the level of interests, the competition of leaders, and the inability to agree on a unified vision that present a practical comprehensive national project and the change for better rights, positions and influence, even if it takes time; these political ruptures, unconstructive rivalries, and infringements, if taken, their result is clear, which is to remain humiliated, doomed to our weakness and backwardness.

Save yourselves, and do not help [the government] to overcome you, for your regret will be great. Do not divide, for wordly desires, that prevent you from attaining the demands; do not neglect any effort that can be spared; and do not stop at an imperfect limit.
