Statement of Ayatollah Qassem regarding the upcoming parliamentary elections (8 June 2022)

In the name of of Allah the Merciful
If the elections – as it seems so far – are for a parliament that represents the government, not the people, like the current parliament, in order to use it to continue with the unjust unilateral policy, then why the fuss, expenses, open fallacies and deception, that are to no avail?
Relieve the people from your elections; keep its expenses for your own personal purposes; announce the extension of a new term for the current council; and if you wish, appoint a council like it, without troubling yourselves.
Nevertheless, if you claim that the elections, according to your planning, are in the interest of the people, then you are the first to know that this claim is absolutely false.
