Ayatollah Isa Qassim: People’s Retreat from Their Movement and Demands Is an Imagined Wish and Impossible Dream

Either this or that …

Regarding the current situation in Bahrain, either the authority chooses the way of the fair solution, as there is no solution other than the “fair solution”, which is the required one. As for this solution, it will not be fair if the authority does not provide concessions in the terms of imposing the absolute control, maintaining all the privileges, and depriving the people in all the dimensions.

Or either the authority keeps its insistence on the solution of marginalizing and excluding people and escalating its stringent position and iron fist in order to oppress the popular movement, and thus, the authority doubles the people’s losses, murder, imprisonment, and the other words of violence.

However, all this will only but increase inflaming the situation and the strife, as all of this is a product of adopting the policy of violence and the stringent iron fist that some people choose and do not think of something else.

Increasing the murder, increasing the numbers of prisoners, and adopting the policy of oppression all nourish and deepen the conflict and dismiss the possibility of agreeing on a solution and increase the age of the crisis.

The more the crisis remains, the more it will cause heavy losses to our homeland and the more it will open the doors of evil which no goodness comes from for anyone and through which no chance of victory will be provided.

The problem starts being small and within narrow limits, and can be solved by the balanced and rational ways. Yet, if dealing with this problem came to be provocative and based on the policy of breaking the bones and cutting the necks, then the matter would be beyond calculations and slip in a devastating mad manner that will be difficult to control its extensions.

The solutions which are based on the security policy give successive reaction from both of the parties that might not end. The problem is that some of people only think with a security mentality and only speak with a security language and do not choose anything other than the security method and the iron first until all this leads their thinking to be governed by a security obsession and mania in spite of their witnessing to the bad and dangerous effects that have resulted from exercising the security method and insisting on it.

Many experiences adopting the security method, which has been exercised a lot in this homeland, gave results that were contrary to the expected as it was imagined that this method would smother the flame of the demands movement but it only harmed the interests of the homeland and extended the age of the crisis, and despite all of this, those who are concerned have not learned their lessons yet.

A third hypothesis is the harsh security policy dream, which gamble on the decline of people’s fair demands after the long duration of their movement, the vast amounts of sacrifices and the fruitless hard and long pursuit of their demands, shall become true.  This wish imagined by some people is impossible in the thinking of the people and a far cry from his imagination, a lot of difficult stages in the history of the people movement have proven this impossibility.

The Arab people who defended their rights to save their countries from collapse at the hands of oppressive regimes, no one of them is satisfied about the little he achieves as well as the decline of their revolution and movement empty handed.

Even the people who has achieved a lot of their demands did not stop its movement till it got all their rights, recovered its freedom and dignity, and protected what it achieved from being stolen again. With all of this, it’s unknown how can greedy people expect the Bahraini people to be an exception and for their movement to be aberrant. How can they accept after all the sacrifices to decline empty handed to return to being oppressed with its rights, will, freedom, and dignity taken from it.

The long duration of this movement does not give any kind of signal to any possible retreat, failure and weakness. Everything proves the opposite.

For the people, it’s not a matter of rivalry ruled by emotion and prejudice, but it’s a matter of reform and weather it is wanted to be done or to be cancelled so the country will stay in its conditions of degradation and underdevelopment, injustice and monopolization and corruption, which will extend the age of hardship and misery for this country.

It is a matter of reform which absence will destroy any good opportunity for this country, and which delay, even if it was for a day, will threaten any chance for this country to overcome its crisis. A reform that is inevitable and indispensable.

There is a logic that says” Referendum divides people, free and fair elections also divides people, and a constituent assembly that study  the constitution, the abolition of discrimination and equality between citizens, and the real and serious reform and all that affects the unfair equation also divides people . Nothing guarantee the unity of the people and the good of the nation and its security, stability and progress, and strengthen the relationship between its brothers and sons. Every injustice, oppression and corruption has to remain. The voice of change reform has to be silenced. Then, the country and people will be secure, the goodness will be prevailed, the life will be honored and the blessings will spread. This is the appropriate justice and wisdom that complies with the Charter, the Constitution and international treaties, the human rights organizations, and the custom of good humanitarian and advanced political awareness.

And whoever says else is misguided, misleading, traitor, spoiler. conspirator, and should be severely punished.
